In June of 2007, the Beaumont ISD Police Department became operational with the hiring of six police officers. In August of 2007, after obtaining his Peace Office commission from TCLEOSE, Clydell Duncan was officially appointed Beaumont ISD Police Chief by Dr. Carrol A. Thomas.
