The Regina-Howell Robotics team for 4th and 5th graders introduces students to the fundamentals of robotics through hands-on activities and projects using Vex Go robots. Throughout the year, students engage in various tasks and challenges that promote problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork. These activities often involve building and programming robots to accomplish specific objectives, such as navigating obstacle courses, retrieving objects, or completing simple tasks autonomously. The culmination of their efforts is showcased in a yearly competition where teams of students put their robots to the test in a series of challenges designed to assess their skills and creativity. This competition not only fosters a spirit of friendly competition but also celebrates the students' accomplishments and encourages their continued interest in STEM fields.
