Welcome from the Principal
Hello Students and Parents:
Welcome to the Taylor Career and Technology Center website. My name is Michael Shelton. I have served in an administrative capacity in Beaumont ISD since 1999. I have the working knowledge with families and students and preparing for plans after high school such as curriculum course choices, resume’ writing and interviewing skills, as well as preparing for college, technical school and/or work. I also assist students with anything related to Career and Technical Education (CTE), internships, co-ops, apprenticeships and career development opportunities. My role at Taylor Career and Technology Center is to support all students with their career development and provide resources for students to explore career opportunities, take career interest inventories and personality/learning profiles. These areas will help them fit their interests with a career they will enjoy.
On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Taylor Career and Technology Center, I am excited to have an opportunity to share information about our campus with you through our website.
The Taylor Career and Technology Center serves students grades 10-12 from Beaumont United High School, and West Brook High School. We have a wide range of programs that offer students the opportunities to obtain skills that will prepare them for a career and become successful, productive members of society. Our students, parents, and teachers have high expectations and work extremely hard to uphold them. The Taylor Career and Technology Center appreciates the sustained support provided so unselfishly by our parents, community members, and local business. We pledge to continue to work hard to make our career and technical education programs even stronger to ensure that our students are successful and prepared for the future.
We have many academies and certification opportunities at Taylor Career and Technology Center and throughout that are available as well. Should you need assistance with any of the above please do not hesitate to contact me.
There are links available on the pages that will help parents and students with additional resources. We hope that you enjoy learning more about us as you visit our site! Please follow us for updates on career information, jobs, resources etc. as they come in throughout the year.
I can be reached at the Taylor Career and Technology Center at 409-617-5740 or email@example.com.
