• Business Partners Header

Our business partners are valuable in so many ways through their support of our campuses. Through volunteering, in-kind donations, program support and many other creative ways, our partners in education are committed to building a better community through their involvement in our district. Our business partners are matched with a BISD school based on the campus need as well as the goals of the business partner. After your application is received the Office of Community and Media Relations will review the request and will contact you to discuss which campus would best fit your goals. Once a campus is chosen, you will have the opportunity to meet with the principal of the campus to develop goals and come up with creative ideas of how you can be of support to the campus.

For more information on how your company can become a business partner, contact Debbie Bridgeman at 409-617-5042 or dbridg2@bmtisd.com.

  • Great Swap

    What is “The Great Swap”?

“The Great Swap” is a program of the Beaumont Independent School District that brings community leaders into schools across the district and allows campus leaders an opportunity to experience the private sector. The program is designed to:

    • increase awareness and understanding among individuals in the private sector of the strengths and challenges of schools in Beaumont ISD
    • demonstrate the private sector's commitment to ensuring a quality public education for all students, and
    • form ongoing partnerships between individuals/businesses and Beaumont ISD.

    Who Can Participate?

Businesses who wish to share their knowledge with school staff while learning more about our public schools can spend 3-4 hours during a normal school day in a BISD school.

How Does “The Great Swap” Work?

Members of the business community are assigned to schools based on their interest and the desires expressed by a school. Business partners should discuss their interests, expectations, and the day's agenda with the campus leader. Campus leaders should also discuss their assignments with the paired business partner prior to the event as well. By communicating and coordinating a plan and schedule prior to the day of the program, the campus leader and business partner can ensure that the experience will be memorial for all parties.

At the end of the shift, business partners and campus leaders are encouraged to discuss their visit and share lessons learned over lunch. Additionally, partners and campus leaders should discuss their potential commitments and plans for future involvement.

How is the Principal for a Day Assigned?

Campus leaders and partners are matched with an elementary, middle, or high school based on the participant's areas of expertise and interests and the school's needs.

Sponsorship and Volunteer Opportunities

  • One way partners can show support is through sponsorships of campus and district programs. BISD offers many opportunities that allow business partners to support the District and build long-lasting relationships with the community. Financial and in-kind donations play an invaluable part in boosting campus morale, increasing the quality of education and providing unique experiences for our students. BISD also has many opportunities for our partners in education to be involved and make an impact in the lives of our students through volunteering.
