About the Program
Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) is a state-based national non-profit organization dedicated to preventing dropouts among young people who have serious barriers to graduation and/or employment. In more than three decades of operation, JAG has delivered consistent, compelling results – helping over one million young people stay in school through graduation, pursue postsecondary education and secure quality entry-level jobs leading to career advancement opportunities.
There are currently three communities in Texas that have the JAG program with Beaumont being one of them. Currently, the program in Beaumont serves our 9-12th graders. JAG Beaumont students are facing multiple barriers in their lives. JAG Beaumont specialists work intensely with our students to guarantee graduation and improve the rate of success in achieving education and career goals.
JAG Beaumont students are elected into leadership roles through their student-led Career Association. All JAG Beaumont students are members of their Career Association and lead through goal areas:
- Career Development
- Leadership Development
- Service Learning
- Civic and Social responsibilities
