Section A - Flexible Education Program Description

  • Online Learners

    In addition to weekly communication with the student’s teacher, various distance learning programs will be used to evaluate students that elect to conduct course work utilizing BISD’s online learning platform. Students will be evaluated based upon three factors: 

    1) Completion of work assigned monitored by the teacher through progression reports (reviewed every 2 weeks beginning March 30), 

    2) Time spent actively participating with the program utilizing task reports (reviewed every 2 weeks beginning March 30), and 

    3) The student’s engagement and attempt to obtain mastery of the concepts assigned. 

     

    Online Learning Due Date: Online learning assignments are due as indicated in the individual modules.

     

    Paper Packet Learners

    In addition to weekly communication with the student’s teacher, paper packets will provide students two-weeks of instructional materials in Math, Science, ELAR, and Social Studies and are due according to the below schedule. Staff will be provided paper packets turned in by students to review for grading. Students will be evaluated based upon three factors: 

     

    1) Completion of work assigned, 

    2) Quality of work turned in, and 

    3) The student’s engagement and attempt to obtain mastery of the concepts assigned. 

     

    Paper Packet Pick Up and Due Date(s):

    Packet 1 – March 30 – April 9 Turn in to campus no later than April 15

    Packet 2 – April 13 – 24 Turn in to campus no later than April 29

    Packet 3 – April 27 – May 8 Turn in to campus no later than May 15
