Superintendent's Student Leadership Council

The Superintendent’s Student Leadership Council (SSLC) is a group of students from across Beaumont ISD who will work closely with the Superintendent and district leadership to provide input on key issues, initiatives, and policies that impact students. This council serves as a platform for student voices to be heard at the highest level of district leadership

Membership Responsibilities

Attend All Meetings: Regular meetings will be held with the Superintendent and other district leaders. Members are expected to attend all meetings, which will be scheduled during school hours.

Participate in Leadership Activities: Engage in leadership training sessions, workshops, and district events.

Serve as Student Ambassadors/Influencers: Represent the student body at district events, board meetings, community functions, and on social media.

Provide Input on District Policies: Offer feedback on policies, initiatives, and programs from a student’s perspective.

Collaborate on Projects: Work on a campus-wide project that aims to improve the student experience and support the district’s mission.
Eligibility Criteria

Grade Level: Open to high school Sophomores, Juniors, and seniors currently enrolled in Beaumont ISD.

Academic Performance: Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Recommendation: Recommendation and approval from your campus principal.

Commitment: Members must be willing to commit to attending all meetings, actively participating in council activities, and serving as liaisons between the student body and district leadership.
Selection Criteria

Demonstrated leadership and initiative in academic and extracurricular activities.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with peers and adults.

A clear understanding of the role and responsibilities of the Superintendent’s Leadership Council.
