Volunteer Programs
How to Become a BISD Volunteer
To volunteer in Beaumont ISD or represent your business/organization as a community partner, you must have an approved volunteer application and background check on file with the district. Follow the steps below to get started.
Step 1: Complete the Volunteer Application
- Access the Online System: The online application form must be completed online using a desktop computer (Mobile devices are not supported. Paper applications are no longer accepted.)
- Complete the Application: The application takes approximately 5 minutes and must be completed in one session (you cannot save progress).
- Submit your personal information (name, address, phone number, email, driver’s license number, and date of birth).
- Select your school(s): Choose the campuses where you’d like to volunteer.
- Choose your assignments: Review the volunteer opportunities listed and select those that interest you.
- If you're representing an organization, check ‘Others’ and enter the organization's name if it’s not listed.
- Double-check your information: Ensure all information is correct before submitting the application.
Step 2: Background Check
The BISD Office of Human Resources will process your background check once your application is submitted. Processing takes up to 10 business days.
Step 3: Confirmation
You’ll receive an email notification at the address provided with the status of your application.
Returning Volunteers
Applications must be renewed every calendar year. For example, if you were approved on November 1, 2024, your application is valid through October 31, 2025.
- Renewal Process:
- App-Garden will send you a renewal email 30 days before your application expires. Follow the instructions to confirm your renewal.
- Important: You cannot renew your application until you receive an expiration email.
