As key members of the athletic program, our trainers provide expert care through injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation, ensuring our athletes can excel on and off the field. Beaumont United High School
Danae Tuhn LAT, ATC
Educational Background

A native of Bouton, Iowa, Tuhn began her athletic journey playing college softball at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, IA, where she earned her Associate Degree. She then transferred to Simpson College in Indianola, IA, where she double-majored in Athletic Training and Exercise Science. During her time at Simpson, she gained hands-on experience working with women’s volleyball, basketball, and track and field teams.
After completing her Bachelor’s degree, Tuhn achieved her national certification and Texas state license, solidifying her expertise in athletic training. In August 2012, she began her career as an Athletic Trainer at Ozen High School and now proudly serves as one of the Athletic Trainers at Beaumont United.
Tuhn is currently pursuing her Master of Education in Sports Administration, demonstrating her continued commitment to advancing her knowledge and supporting student-athletes.
Jacob Pfaff, MS, LAT

- Lamar University, Master of Science in Kinesiology, 2005
With 17 years of experience as a Licensed Athletic Trainer, Pfaff has dedicated his career to supporting athletes and their success. From 2005 to 2010, he served as the Athletic Trainer at Beaumont Central High School before transitioning to Rehabilitation Supervisor at Beaumont Chiropractic Clinic, a role he held from 2010 to 2017.
Missing the excitement of working directly with athletes and being on the sidelines, Pfaff returned to Beaumont Central in 2017. He now proudly serves as an Athletic Trainer at Beaumont United High School, bringing his expertise and passion for sports medicine to the team.
Outside of work, Pfaff enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, as well as pursuing hobbies like geocaching and scuba diving.
Jordan Corley LAT, ATC
Educational Background
- Harding University, Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, 2014
A proud native of Beaumont, Texas, Jordan is a graduate of West Brook High School. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Harding University in Searcy, AR, and completed the requirements for both her Texas state license and national certification as an athletic trainer.
Jordan joined Beaumont ISD in the fall of 2014 as the Athletic Trainer for Middle Schools. In 2018, she transitioned to Beaumont United High School, where she continues to provide exceptional care and support to student-athletes.
West Brook High School
Dante' Johnson, LAT
Educational Background
- Sam Houston State University, Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology - Concentration in Athletic Training, 2015
While studying in the athletic training program at Sam Houston State University, Johnson earned an internship with the Houston Texans. During his time with the team, he assisted with training camp coverage and preseason games, gaining valuable experience under the guidance of professional athletic trainers.
In May 2016, Johnson obtained his Texas Athletic Training license and began his career as the Athletic Trainer for Woodville ISD, overseeing athletic training for students in grades 7-12. In 2018, he joined Beaumont ISD, where he now serves as an Athletic Trainer at West Brook High School, continuing his dedication to supporting student-athletes.
Nicole Patterson
Educational Background
- Baylor University, Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, 2017
Originally from Houston, Texas, Nicole is a proud graduate of Baylor University. During her time at Baylor, she gained extensive experience working with a variety of sports, including Track, Acrobatics & Tumbling, Football, and Volleyball, and interned with the Basketball program during the summer. She graduated in 2017 as a Nationally Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer.
After graduation, Nicole briefly worked in Houston as a contract Athletic Trainer for private schools before moving to Beaumont to serve as the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for Lamar University's Track & Field program. Following her time at Lamar, she became the Athletic Trainer for Bridge City ISD, overseeing all sports and athletes at both the middle and high school levels.
Nicole joined the BISD Athletic Trainer team at West Brook High School in 2021, where she continues to provide dedicated care and support to student-athletes.
After her time at Lamar, she was brought on as the Athletic Trainer for Bridge City ISD, working with all sports and athletes at the Middle School and High School level. She joined the BISD team of Athletic Trainers at Westbrook in 2021.
Jordan Hemker
Educational Background
- Sam Houston State University, Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology - Concentration in Athletic Training 2016
Jordan began her athletic journey at Hill Junior College, where she played basketball. After her basketball career ended, she pursued her passion for sports medicine at Blinn Junior College in Brenham. In 2012, she was accepted into the sports medicine program at Sam Houston State University, graduating in 2016. During her time at Sam Houston, Jordan worked with various sports, including the 2012 FCS National Finalist football team.
Following graduation, Jordan began her career as the Head Athletic Trainer in Marion, Texas, near San Antonio. After two years in the high school setting, she transitioned to the clinical side of sports medicine, joining Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, where she worked with various sports, including rugby.
