Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Program

The Beaumont ISD announces that it will continue to operate the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Program under the School Breakfast Program and the National School Lunch Program during SY 2025 - 2026. CEP was authorized by the Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act of 2010 which expands the availability of healthy meals to students at no cost. All schools in BISD schools are eligible to participate in the CEP program.

BISD is proud to be able to offer this program and encourages families to take advantage of one free breakfast and one free lunch each school day. Even if families feed their student breakfast at home or send a lunch with their student, a free breakfast and lunch can be provided and can maximize their nutritional intake!

This great benefit increases access to nutritious school meals at no cost to students. Balanced nutrition throughout the day contributes to student success in and out of the classroom.  New research shows children are getting their healthiest meals at school. Studies have demonstrated that school meal programs play an important role in supporting obesity prevention, overall student health attentiveness and academic achievement by improving children’s diets and combating hunger.  Click on the links to read more about the proven benefits of the School Breakfast ProgramNational School Lunch Program.
