The mission of the Community and Media Relations Department is to connect, inform, and engage the Beaumont ISD community. The department is dedicated to sharing the stories of students and staff, promoting district initiatives, and fostering meaningful partnerships with families and stakeholders. Beaumont ISD Community Caravan

Join us for the BISD Community Caravan, an exciting initiative that brings parents, business partners, and community members together for a behind-the-scenes look at Beaumont ISD! This immersive experience provides a guided tour of our campuses and programs, showcasing the incredible work happening in our schools every day. Don’t miss your chance to see the impact of BISD firsthand and connect with district leaders.

The next BISD Community Caravan will take place on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The caravan will visit one high school, one middle school, and one elementary school, providing a well-rounded view of student learning at all levels. To ensure the best experience for all attendees, please use the sign up by Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

Beaumont ISD is proud to partner with Friends of Texas Public Schools to offer the BISD Ambassador Program, an initiative designed to empower and equip educators, staff, business partners, and community members as champions for public education. Through engaging sessions, participants gain valuable insight into district operations, leadership, and the impact of public schools on our community. Ambassadors serve as informed advocates, fostering positive conversations about BISD and the future of education in Texas.

Breakfast & Supper with the Superintendent

Beaumont ISD is committed to fostering open communication and strong community relationships. Breakfast & Supper with the Superintendent is an annual initiative designed to provide parents, staff, business partners, volunteers, and community members with direct access to Dr. Shannon Allen in a relaxed, conversational setting. These events offer an opportunity to hear district updates, discuss key initiatives, and share feedback over a meal. By creating a space for meaningful dialogue, Beaumont ISD continues to build partnerships that support student success and strengthen our schools.

Social Media Commenting Guidelines

Purpose

Beaumont ISD uses social media as a powerful tool to connect with parents, students, and our community, as well as those interested in our District's excellence. Our social media pages are regularly updated to celebrate student and staff achievements and to share important district news.

Our dedicated campus administration teams and the Beaumont ISD Office of Community and Media Relations manage our social media platforms, which are actively monitored during regular business and school hours. Beaumont ISD's social media commenting guidelines will be used to monitor comments.

Commenting on District Social Media Sites

Beaumont ISD's social media sites are open for all visitors to share their comments on District posts. We encourage comments that are relevant to the topic at hand. Our editors maintain discretion over all posted comments to ensure a respectful and constructive environment. While we welcome all viewpoints, we are committed to protecting the privacy and rights of our staff and students. The District reserves the right to remove inappropriate comments that do not adhere to the commenting guidelines below.

Please note that all content related to Beaumont ISD business on our social media sites is considered public record and may be subject to retention and disclosure. Beaumont ISD reserves the right to update these guidelines as needed to maintain a positive and informative online community.

We welcome your comments and look forward to what you have to say. We ask that your comments comply with the following guidelines:

Comments are not allowed if they contain profanity, threatening or harsh words, vulgar language, or inappropriate language or content. Please use words that would be acceptable in a K-12 education setting.
Comments are not allowed if they include specific allegations, a personal attack, or accusations about a student, parent, employee, or community member.
Comments are not allowed if they include private information about a student, parent, employee, or community member, including directory information, disciplinary issues, personal issues, etc.
Comments are not allowed if they include offensive language that targets ethnic, religious, racial, social, gender, or other specific groups.
Comments are not allowed if they include spam, advertisements promoting specific services or products, or links to other sites (including special offers or discounts for district employees). Should you wish to advertise or partner with the district, please contact the BISD Office of Community and Media Relations Office via email at communications@bmtisd.com
Comments cannot contain political messages.
Participants are responsible for what they post. Comments may not break any law, confidentiality, or copyright or encourage others to do so.
Comments cannot represent a person other than the one posting the comment.
To protect your privacy and the privacy of others, please do not include personally identifiable information such as phone numbers or email addresses in comments.
Reporters and other persons seeking responses to questions or requests are asked to send questions to the BISD Office of Community and Media Relations through normal channels and to refrain from submitting questions as comments.
Anyone posting comments contrary to these guidelines may be prohibited from further participation.

The Director of Community and Media Relations leads the Community and Media Relations Department and is available to assist with media inquiries and public information requests. She works to connect the community with the stories and initiatives happening throughout Beaumont ISD.

Assistant Director of Community and Media Relations

The Assistant Director of Community and Media Relations is available to assist with district and campus website management, social media, and multimedia marketing initiatives supporting communication and engagement efforts across all Beaumont ISD platforms.

Debbie Bridgeman

Coordinator of Business Community Partnerships

The community relations coordinator is available to assist with volunteer opportunities, business and community partnerships, and the coordination of community events. She works to build meaningful connections that support Beaumont ISD students and schools.

Graphic Designer/Photographer

The graphic designer/photographer brings stories to life through impactful visuals and photography. Specializing in creating eye-catching designs and capturing memorable moments, he supports Beaumont ISD's mission by showcasing the excellence of our students, staff, and schools.

Videographer/Content Editor

The videographer/content editor captures and creates dynamic video content that tells the story of Beaumont ISD. From filming impactful moments to producing engaging videos, he ensures our district’s message reaches and inspires our community.
