BISD Influencers

Build trust. Learn how BISD works. Help students thrive.

BISD Influencers is a new program for parents, neighbors, business partners, faith leaders, and community advocates who want a deeper understanding of how Beaumont ISD operates. Participants will meet district leaders, visit campuses, and learn how decisions are made so they can share accurate information, build partnerships, and support student success.

Influencers attended their third session at Regina-Howell Elementary, where they engaged in a panel discussion with 12 district leaders and toured the Chargers campus.

Who should apply

Community members who want to learn, engage, and champion public education in Beaumont ISD, including parents, caregivers, alumni, clergy, business owners, nonprofit leaders, neighborhood advocates, and volunteers.

How participants are selected

Selections are based on:

School and community involvement and representation across the district
Desire to support the mission and vision of BISD
Applicant background to ensure diverse representation across campuses and stakeholder groups

Cohort size: 30 participants.

Program schedule

Five community sessions, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

September 9 · BISD Boardroom
October 7 · High School campus, to be announced
November 4 · Elementary campus, to be announced
January 13 · Middle School campus, to be announced
February 9 · BISD Boardroom
- Lunch and graduation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Attendance at all sessions is required.

BISD Influencers dug into 2025 education updates, district governance, and next steps with Dr. Shannon Allen at their second meeting on October 7, 2025. The meeting was hosted at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Collegiate Academy, and our Influencers toured the campus.
