Bruin Pride on Display: West Brook Seniors Sign to Take Talents to the Next Level

Ten seniors from West Brook High School officially took the next step in their academic and athletic journeys during a Signing Day ceremony held April 1, 2026, in the school’s Performing Arts Center.

Surrounded by family, friends, coaches and classmates, the students signed letters of intent and commitment to continue their pursuits at colleges, universities, and in military service across the country.

Among the signees, Chad Kirby will continue his baseball career at Brookhaven College, while Nick Stuberfield signed to play football at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Noah Smith and Rondell Malbrough will both advance in soccer, committing to Loras College and Hesston College, respectively. Janet Onuorah will compete in volleyball at Texas State University, and Adrian Tarabay will swim at the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

In addition to athletics, Khalid Trent will pursue musical theatre at the University of Michigan, showcasing the diverse talents represented in this year’s signing class.

Three students — Parker Nguyen, Ja’Zyiah Griffin and Alijah Ramsey — committed to serve their country by joining the United States Navy.

School leaders and coaches praised the students for their dedication and perseverance, noting the significance of the moment as a culmination of years of hard work.

“This signature represents years of sacrifice, discipline, and belief in a dream that is now reality,” said Chuck Langston, head football coach and campus coordinator at West Brook High School.

The Signing Day ceremony highlighted not only individual achievements but also the collective pride of the West Brook community, as each student embarks on a new chapter beyond high school.
