Celebrating Excellence: BISD Announces 2026–27 Teachers of the Year

Beaumont ISD has announced its 2026–27 Teachers of the Year, recognizing 26 exceptional educators whose passion, dedication and commitment to students bring the magic of teaching to life across the district.

“These teachers represent the very best of Beaumont ISD,” said BISD Superintendent Dr. Shannon Allen. “Through their knowledge, compassion and inspiration, they transform classrooms into places where students feel supported, challenged and empowered to succeed.”

The 2026–27 Teachers of the Year honorees are:

The educators will be honored during the Annual Beaumont ISD Celebration of Excellence Gala on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the Beaumont Civic Center. The formal event begins at 6 p.m. and will culminate with the announcement of the 2026–27 BISD Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year.

The two district winners will represent Beaumont ISD at the regional level, with the opportunity to advance to the State of Texas Teacher of the Year competition. The program is facilitated by the Texas Association of School Administrators, which recognizes Texas Teacher of the Year as the highest honor the state can bestow upon an educator.
