Dr. Donna Prudhomme holds award she received.

Beaumont ISD is celebrating a major national achievement as Career and Technical Education Director Dr. Donna Prudhomme has been named the 2026 National Administrator of the Year by the Association for Career and Technical Education. The announcement was made at the ACTE National Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.

The recognition reflects Dr. Prudhomme’s leadership in expanding CTE opportunities, strengthening industry partnerships, and creating innovative pathways for BISD students. Under her direction, the district has advanced programs that open access to career-focused learning, support teacher growth, and enhance community engagement.

Dr. Prudhomme, a respected leader within Region IV and a long-time advocate for high-quality CTE, continues to elevate opportunities for students and empower educators across the state. Her commitment to innovation, program excellence, and student success has earned her admiration throughout the CTE community.

As ACTE’s National Administrator of the Year, Dr. Prudhomme joins an elite group of leaders whose work shapes the future of CTE nationwide. “To compete against national finalists from Alabama, Indiana, Michigan, and Arizona — and ultimately accept this national award — is more than an honor; it is a reminder of why I do this work,” said Prudhomme. She went on to say, “Beaumont ISD’s CTE programs have become my heart work, and we will continue building on our foundation to prepare students for high-demand, high-skill, and high-wage careers that can change the trajectory of their lives.”

Beaumont ISD encourages the community to join in celebrating this significant accomplishment and the lasting impact Dr. Prudhomme makes for students, teachers, and partners across the district.  To learn more about BISD CTE programs, visit www.bmtisd.com/cte
