PEGASUS Takes Flight in BISD

Beaumont ISD hosted Elementary PEGASUS Parent Information Nights this week, giving families of current third and fourth-grade students an inside look at the district’s advanced academic program and how to apply.

Meetings were held on March 24 at Roy Guess Elementary and on March 25 at Regina Howell Elementary, where parents learned about program expectations, eligibility requirements, and the application process.

The Elementary PEGASUS Program is designed for high-achieving students who excel academically, demonstrate strong motivation, and can work independently in an accelerated learning environment.

To qualify, students must meet strong academic criteria, including STAAR performance at the Meets or Masters level in math and reading, along with positive attendance, behavior, and staff recommendations.

The application window is open from March 24 through April 24. Families can apply online and access more information through the district website or the provided application link.
