Prudhomme Builds on a Winning Streak in Career and Technical Education

A photo of Dr. Donna Prudhomme.

Dr. Donna Prudhomme is building a foundation for Career and Technical Education in her region. The Beaumont ISD Career and Technical Education Center director was recently elected president of the Career and Technical Administrators of Texas (CTAT) Golden Triangle – Area 10, giving her a platform to “hammer out” statewide initiatives and expand professional development for educators. This election adds to recent honors for Prudhomme, who in December was named the 2026 Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) National Administrator of the Year.

Prudhomme received official notification of her election on December 19, 2025, a role that allows her to contribute to statewide leadership initiatives and professional development efforts for educators in her region.

“I’m honored to serve as the CTAT Golden Triangle – Area 10 President and represent our region at the state level while continuing to advocate for Career and Technical Education,” Prudhomme said. “This leadership role allows me to elevate the work happening across BISD by expanding professional development, collaboration, and networking opportunities for educators. I’m excited to contribute to statewide CTE leadership and bring insights, partnerships, and opportunities back to support students, teachers, and programs.”

As Area 10 president, Dr. Prudhomme will attend both the February and July CTAT conferences, where she will hold meetings and represent her region during statewide discussions. She said the role also positions her to engage more closely with the Texas Education Agency and statewide CTE initiatives.

Prudhomme has played a key role in preparing Beaumont ISD students with workforce-ready skills, offering career and technical programs as a path alongside traditional college preparation. Her work ensures that district offerings align with local workforce needs and provides students with opportunities to gain practical experience and job-ready competencies.

CTAT is an organization dedicated to supporting Texas career and technical educators, providing professional development, networking opportunities, and leadership support across the state.

In addition, EdTech: Focus on K–12 magazine plans to feature Prudhomme in an upcoming story highlighting her recent ACTE National Administrator of the Year honor. The article will explore her work with teachers and students, district workforce alignment, and other initiatives at Beaumont ISD.
