General Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and must meet one of the following criteria:
- Enrollment in or completion of the Alternative Certification Program
- SBEC certified in other areas
- Educator certification from outside of Texas
- Demonstrated student growth in an educational position, including but not limited to a formal classroom or tutoring setting
- Teaching experience in private or charter school settings
Additional Information
Adjunct teachers who meet specific criteria above will qualify for:

Administrator
Principal
The Principal is the instructional leader who directs, leads and manages the instructional program, and who supervises both operations and personnel at the campus level. Most importantly, the Principal provides leadership to ensure high standards of student academic achievement. The Principal must act with integrity, support the district's organizational goals, demonstrate the ability to inspire, grow and motivate others, utilize feedback, drive for results, and commit to championing the needs of students and employees.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in educational administration
- Texas Administrative, Mid-Management, or Principal Certification
- The Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS)
- At least three years of exemplary teaching experience
- At least three years of successful experience in an instructional leadership role
Hiring Process
The principal pipeline is for any candidate who is ready to take on a leadership role for Beaumont ISD. Complete the application in full and attach a cover letter, resume, and Texas Educator Certificate.
Assistant Principal
The Assistant Principal supports the administration of the instructional program and campus-level operations. The Assistant Principal provides leadership to ensure students succeed, coordinates assigned student activities and services, and oversees compliance with district policies and procedures. They may also be charged with the success of instructional programs and operation of all campus activities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Texas Mid-Management, Principal Certification or other appropriate Texas certificate
- The Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS)
- At least three years of exemplary teaching experience

Substitute
Are You Ready to Join Our Team?
We are now accepting substitute teacher applications for the 22-23 school year.
Eligibility Requirements:
Substitute teaching provides an opportunity to gain experience and see first- hand what it takes to be a successful classroom teacher. Substitutes with 60 or more college hours can earn $100 per day, while substitutes with a four-year college degree earn $105 per day. After 10 consecutive days in the same assignment, an additional $25 will be added per day for the duration of the assignment.
- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 60 or more completed college credit hours.
- Ability to instruct students and manage behavior.
- Possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible in other duties assigned.
