Bus Rules & Consequences

Background

Beaumont ISD transportation procedures are in place to ensure the safety of all students.

Pick-up locations are assigned by the Route Supervisor at the start of the school year.

Bus drivers have full authority on the bus and the same authority as teachers in the classroom. Students
must always follow all directions given by the bus driver.

A current school-issued ID is required to board the bus. All students are required to scan in and out using
the electronic pad.

All students must have a signed behavior contract on file.

By riding the bus, students and parents agree to follow all rules. Lack of knowledge does not excuse
violations. Infractions occurring during the final two (2) weeks of school may carry over to the next school
year.

  • Always be respectful and cooperative.
  • Apply your seatbelt.

times, will have their riding privileges suspended for two weeks. Students may be suspended for
the remainder of the school year after the fourth occurrence.

Note: It is the parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to ensure the safety of the student from home to
the bus stop and from the bus stop to home.

instruct your child on what to do if this happens.
