About Mr. Ryan Monceaux
-
Born in Groves, Texas, I have lived most of my life in the region aside from a short stint in Fairbanks, Alaska. After graduating from Port Neches - Groves High school, I went on to the Art Institute in Houston, Texas to major in Video Production. After an ill-advised knee injury, I returned home and began a major in General Studies at Lamar State Collge Port Arthur. Working my way through my core classes, I found my love of History. I transferred to Lamar University and earned my B.A. in History with a Social Studies Composite. A few years later I returned to Lamar and earned my M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership.
If my legacy is that I was a good educator, father, and husband, I will feel I have lived a good life. I enjoy watching movies, playing video games, and reading. I thirst for knowledge and feel that travel is a very integral part of that. I hope to make my students think critically about the world around them so that they may be successful in their futures.
