Welcome from the Principal
-
Greetings CTEC students, staff, and stakeholders,
Welcome to CTEC where WE can, WE will, and WE MUST Engage in an expectation of excellence in ALL we do EVERY DAY. I am excited to serve the district as principal of the Career and Technical Education Center. It is my sincere pleasure and honor to serve the students, staff, and community and welcome you to the CTEC Website. My role is to support all students with career development, remain abreast of the Program of Study changes that directly affect CTEC students, provide resources for students to explore career opportunities, and ensure students are prepared to earn Industry Based Certifications, ensuring they are CAREER READY! With a career spanning over two decades from K-12 to post-secondary public education serving in a myriad of roles, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help CTEC students reach their full potential.
The Career and Technical Education Center serves juniors and seniors enrolled at Beaumont United High School and West Brook High School. We offer a wide range of programs that provide students with opportunities to obtain skills that will prepare them for a career and become credentialed, successful, productive members of society. In partnership with Lamar Institute of Technology (LIT) and Lamar State College Orange (LSCO), students earn dual credit hours and certifications that will allow them to continue toward earning an Associate Degree at NO cost to the student/family.
Our students, staff, and stakeholders have high expectations of all students and work shoulder to shoulder, utilizing a hands-on approach to guiding each student to reach their full potential. The Career and Technical Education Center appreciates the unwavering support provided by our parents, community members, and business partners. We pledge to continue to work hard to make our career and technical education programs even stronger to ensure that our students are successful and prepared for their future careers.
On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Career and Technical Education Center, I am excited to have an opportunity to share information about our campus with you through our website. You are invited to visit our website frequently and connect with us on social media as updates are communicated throughout the year. Please do not hesitate to contact me at 409-617-5740 or LrocheL@bmtisd.com if you have any questions, concerns, or need further assistance.
All the best,
Dr. Lori P. Threats, Principal Career and Technical Education Center
