Building on the standard of excellence emblazoned by our school's namesake, students at the Willie Ray Smith Technology Magnet Middle School are preparing themselves for careers in the 21st century. Smith's programs prepare students to succeed in all fields. Students graduating from Smith's Magnet Program leave prepared for further studies at the high school level. They receive high school credits and advanced status as they enter high school. The magnet curriculum integrates advanced technology into specific courses and students experience hands-on training and learning

Smith is the only middle school in Beaumont that is evolving to a 1 to 1 technology program with iPads issued to each student and teacher for educational use.
