Goals Night takes place every year in September.  The event was virtual in Sept 2020 and Sept 2021.  We are hopeful that Goals Night in Sept 2022 will be an on campus event!

Our first round of applications are due in December and notification letters will go out in early January after reviewing the applications.  Usually by the end of the second week in January.

Seniors should start applying for colleges as their application windows open - some as early as August.  This process will also be guided during PCC 4.  Students can find information to request transcripts from BECHS and LIT here.

All students will get a paper copy of their schedules in their first period on the first day of each semester.  In the day or two before the first day in August students' first periods will be posted on the front door of the school.

Yes.  Each year returning students need to complete online registration for BISD.  This can be done through parent self serve.  Once a parent is logged in, look for the "Register" tab at the top of the page.

Traditionally, Summer Bridge is the last two weeks in July.  Volunteers are chosen and contacted by the staff members that are working Summer Bridge and and adult volunteers (speakers, presenters, etc.) are contacted in May or June before Summer Bridge.

This depends on the number of students in the cohort.  If there are 100 students in 12th grade, then the 25 students with the highest GPA will make up the top 25%.  The number of students in the cohort can be found in the bottom right corner of a BISD high school transcript.  If there are 110 students, then 110 x .25 = 27.5 so 27 students would make up the top 25%.

Yes!  During any semester students have the opportunity to raise their GPA by earning top grades or grades that are increase over previous semesters.  Parents and students can read more about how GPAs are calculated by reading the district policy here.  Seniors even have the opportunity to raise their GPA by doing well in the fall of senior year and 3rd nine weeks of spring.  Senior rank is based on GPA ending at the 3rd 9 week period, but transcripts become final for grades and credits after the senior year is complete in June.

Current 9th grade students can submit the same application as the 8th grade students and are considered on a case by case basis depending on current coursework and spots available.  Before finalizing an offer of admission, a 9th grade student would need to pass the needed section of TSI and complete all activities required of an 8th grade applicant.  Current 10th-12th grade students are not considered for admission.

In order to remain in Good Academic Standing, students must maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher with LIT - this is referred to as Satisfactory Academic Progress.  If a student falls below that threshold, he/she will be placed on a level of Academic Warning, Probation, or Suspension depending on the GPA and how many semesters it has fallen below 2.0.  Details can be found on LIT's website by going here.  If a student is placed on Academic Warning, Probation, or Suspension it could result in the need to withdraw from Beaumont ECHS and move to the student's zoned campus.

As a result of the COVID-19 related school closure in the spring of 2020, Beaumont ECHS did not require students to accumulate service hours for the 4th nine week grading period in the 2019-2020 school year.  This impacted the classes of 2020-2023.  Since that time, the campus has researched several virtual opportunities for students to engage in community service and this has been shared in all PCC classes.  As a result, community service requirements have been adjusted as stated below: 

- All graduating classes through, and including, 2023 can graduate and receive a stole/cord with a minimum of 112 hours.

- For the class of 2024 and beyond, the required 120 hours will be in effect.

Service opportunities must be approved by the campus and details can be found on our Community Service tab on the website.

Beaumont ECHS offers two test sessions each month (except for shortened months due to holiday breaks) and students can sign up on our website by going to the Testing tab.  Students and parents will recieve updates on their TSI status at the end of each semester and often during the fall and spring semesters from their Family teacher.  It is critical that students work with their Family and PCC teachers to ensure steps are taken to stay on track for testing based on their chosen pathway.  Pathways and TSI prerequistes can be reviewed under the Academics tab.
