Beaumont ISD provides this data for families, staff and community members as a summary of lab-positive COVID-19 cases among BISD on-campus learners.
A positive (active) case indicates that an individual has been tested and received a report verifying an acute infection of the COVID-19 virus. Individuals who are confirmed positive are quarantined and are not currently at any BISD facilities. Active cases will fluctuate as people recover.

COVID-19 Symptoms:
In evaluating whether an individual has symptoms consistent with COVID-19, consider the following question:
Have they recently begun experiencing any of the following in a way that is not normal for them?
Cough
Sore throat
Shortness of breath
Loss of taste or smell
Difficulty breathing
Shaking or exaggerated shivering
Chills
Diarrhea
Significant muscle pain or ache
Feeling feverish
Headache
Fever of 100or higher
Fatigue
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea
Vomiting
Known close contact with a person who is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19
