Teachers and staff of Beaumont ISD kicked off the new school year with Convocation on August 19, 2015. Superintendent Dr. John Frossard began by presenting his goals and expectations for the coming year and reminded all in attendance that the main goal shared by everyone in the district is to serve the students of Beaumont ISD. Frossard acknowledged the fact that while there are still schools and situations that are in need of improvement, the district is moving forward on a path of success.
During his address, Superintendent Frossard issued a challenge for everyone in the district to set one big goal in regards to their classroom, school, or department and also to set one big personal goal. Frossard stated that “in order to see how far you come, you have to set a goal.” “Hopefully next year at this time we’ll be able to look back on a year of success and progress” Frossard added.
Following the address from the superintendent, faculty and staff were presented with a keynote address from Larry Bell of Multicultural America Inc. who spoke on “The Power of a Teacher Through High Expectations”.
