BISD Appoints Asst. Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction

Dr. Vonda Washington has been selected as the new Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction. She is currently the Director of Secondary Programs in Dickinson ISD. 

Dr. Washington earned her Doctorate from Lamar University and her superintendent’s certification from the University of Houston – Clear Lake. She earned her master’s degree from Prairie View A&M University and her bachelor’s degree from Texas Southern University. 

Previously, Dr. Washington was a middle school principal in Dickinson ISD, a middle school and elementary school principal in Fort Bend ISD, and an assistant principal and teacher in Alief ISD. She was honored in Fort Bend as the secondary principal of the year for her work as a middle school principal.
