Central 2008 Valedictorian Making Her Mark

Central High School Valedictorian Alana Akers graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Dallas on June 1, 2016 with her medical degree. Akers, a 2008 graduate, will begin her residency by practicing Internal Medicine at Brookwood Baptist Health in Birmingham, Alabama. During her undergraduate work at Baylor University, Akers had the opportunity to study in the Netherlands.
