Homer Hosts Cooking Club

Students in 4th and 5th grade at Homer Drive Elementary School had the opportunity to participate in the Bobcat Bakers Cooking Club.   “All they needed was a desire to learn to cook and good behavior,” said kindergarten teacher and cooking instructor Paula Peters.  “The students met on Thursdays after school and were able to use math and reading skills as they measured the ingredients and read the recipes to create delicious treats.”  Brownies in a mug, no bake cowboy cookies, bagel pizzas, Texas toast pizzas and nachos were a few of the items made by students.
