GT-TAME Set to Kick Off Fall Semester
The Golden Triangle-Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering (GT-TAME) invites area students and their parents to attend GT-TAME orientation at Lamar University in the Lucas Engineering Building on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 9:30am-11:30am.
Students who have a strong interest in math, science, engineering, technology or computer science, are encouraged to participate. The orientation on September 24 will include registration for the program and discussion of upcoming activities planned. GT-TAME Enrichment Sessions for the fall semester will be held on Saturday, October 1, 15 and 22, 2016 at Lamar University in the Cherry Engineering Building from 9am-12pm.
The purpose of GT-TAME is to increase the number of underrepresented students who pursue science, technology, engineering, and math careers. The organization provides educational experiences to prepare elementary, middle and high school students for careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
