When students arrived at Regina-Howell on Friday, November 11, they were met by local members of the armed forces in celebration of Veteran’s Day. The event was organized by Shawn Hickman and Lori Bane and sponsored by the PTA. Not only were the veterans there to greet students as they arrived, but the West Brook ROTC was on hand to raise the United States and Texas flags. “It was incredibly moving,” said Principal Kimberly Screen, “during the ceremony even the parents dropping off their students got out of their car to watch and honor the veterans and their contribution to our country”.
