West Brook Channel 6 Challenge Team Wins 2nd Place

The West Brook High School Academic Team won 2nd place in the Channel 6 Challenge. There were sixteen teams who competed in a Jeopardy-like format using all subject areas.  West Brook defeated Vidor 315 to 100, Sabine Pass 375 to 50, PNG 260 to 240, and was defeated by Kelly in the finals 190 to 330. The winning team received scholarships to the college of their choice. The West Brook 2nd place winners each received $100 and an individual trophy; the team received a large team trophy. “The team practiced every Monday afternoon for an hour,” said sponsor Donna Noblitt, “They are a very dedicated group of young people."
