Taylor Career Center Holds Student Awards Ceremony

Taylor Career and Technology Center held its Leadership and Skills Achievement Awards Program in the Beaumont ISD board room May 15. La’Cee Parker and Leonardo Valadez were named Outstanding Students, while Vanessa Ajiataz received the Principal's Award from Michael Shelton. Lamar Institute of Technology handed out $500 scholarships to Jonathan Garcia for Auto Collision, Aamyon J. Simon for Graphic Design, and Anh Thi Nguyen for Manicure Specialty. “We are so proud of what our students have accomplished this year,” said Taylor Principal Michael Shelton. “In addition to earning over one thousand industry certifications, our students received top honors in the state competition areas.”
