The Children’s Learning Institute in Houston awarded Beaumont ISD access to professional development for 40 pre-kindergarten teachers. “This training is a research-based product called CIRCLE,” explained BISD Supervisor of Early Childhood Gwendolyn Lacy. “It provides teachers with activities in key readiness areas such as language, literacy and math.” Region 5 Program Coordinator School Readiness Sharon Kruger trained teachers to use CIRCLE May 22. The activities allow teachers to engage students with knowledge which will be the foundation of their academics.
