Message from Child Nutrition

October 31, 2017 is the last day that all students are eligible for free lunch based on Hurricane Harvey assistance from the TDA. Tomorrow, November 1st, all students will return to their current application status with the following exceptions.

The Texas Department of Agriculture along with the United States Department of Agriculture approved waivers for Central High School, Ozen High School, Paul Brown Learning Center, Early College High School, South Park Middle School or Guess Elementary School to continue to eat free through November 30th. This classification does not apply to siblings at any other campus.

At all other campuses, students will eat based on eligibility from a current year paper or online application, or direct certification through SNAP, TANF, FDPIR or other qualifying programs. If you qualified for D-SNAP during Hurricane Harvey, you will need to fill out an application in order to receive meal benefits. If your student is not directly certified, does not attend one of the above campuses, or you have not filled out a current year application, you will need to send lunch money to school tomorrow for their lunch.

Breakfast will continue to be served free to all students in the district. Please contact the Child Nutrition Department at 409-617-5065 for assistance.
