Jones Clark Takes it to the Streets
Jones-Clark Elementary is encouraging parental involvement on campus. Faculty “Took it to the Streets” at the Tracewood II Apartment Complex Activity Room on December 12. “I explained to parents that their role is very vital to their child's academic success,” said Parent Coordinator Henrietta Savoy. “Counselor Tamara Bronson discussed student attendance and uniforms and advised parents that if they have a need that there are some that have been made available in her office.” Jones-Clark Substitute Principal Michael Mason encouraged parents to get involved, be visible and have an active role in their student’s life reiterating his slogan ‘It’s All About The Students.’” Savoy says plans are in the works to visit other complexes soon. “The event went very well and parents had some concerns that Mr. Mason and Ms. Bronson were able to address,” said Savoy. “Parents stated that they appreciated us taking time out to come to them.”
