DuGood Does Good at West Brook
DuGood Federal Credit Union is not only a business partner for West Brook High School, but they are also a full-service credit union serving students on campus. “We have been at West Brook since 2004 and have been passionately serving students and teachers since then,” said DuGood Marketing Coordinator Derek McWilliams.
DuGood offers a Money Smart program for students, which is a free online financial education learning tool. They also have a Save for Swag program. “Students make 15 deposits of $10 or more. Each time they make a deposit, the teller stamps their card. Once it’s full, they receive either a gift card of their choice or a DuGood promo item.” explained McWilliams.
Students have the opportunity to visit the branch each weekday from 11am-2pm. Each month, DuGood awards a teacher with a gift for perfect attendance for the school year. They also offer scholarships and teacher grants.
“Derek McWilliams is an involved business partner representing DuGood Credit Union. He attends all of the faculty meetings that we hold once a month and recognizes our teachers who have perfect attendance,” said Principal Dr. Diana Valdez. “Derek is professional and personable every time he is on our campus to visit. We really appreciate his support of our school.”
