The Beaumont ISD Department of Athletics aims to provide safe and healthy activities for students at every grade level. It includes not only physical activity but also education on health matters and character building. Doing so also involves proper maintenance or renovation of facilities utilized by coaches and students across the District.
"Beaumont ISD and the District's athletic department continues to progress and move forward by upgrading campus and district athletic facilities," said Dr. Ron Jackson, BISD Athletic Director.
Renovations or upgrades occur on a scheduled basis. More than six campuses received remodeling to meet the goal of enhancing facilities for BISD student-athletes.
"The District has top scholar student-athletes," stated Jackson. "The improvements completed, along with additional planned facility improvements, will allow our district student-athletes the opportunity to continue the pursuit of their team and individual goals."
Upgrades to campus facilities include items such as:
Beaumont United softball batting cages and baseball fields new sound system
Beaumont United new track
Beaumont United gym new sound system
Beaumont United new gym floor for the auxiliary gym
New bleachers at Odom, Marshall and Vincent
West Brook softball and baseball fields new sound system and clocks
West Brook new lockers in restrooms and shower area
