Beaumont ISD Board Wrap Up
The October meeting of the Beaumont ISD board featured recognitions for all 27 district principals, an updated calendar revision and presentations from Phalen Leadership Academies (PLA) and Responsive Ed.
West Brook Student Honored for FFA Win
Garrett Gerace was named the Grand Champion Overall Steer and Champion Exotic Steer at the Texas Rice Festival cattle show.
“There are hundreds of hours that go into raising a cattle project,” said Stephanie Hoppe, West Brook agriculture teacher. “Garrett has worked hard over the years to get really good at showing a calf and it paid off. He is a phenomenal showman and works every day investing his time, money and energy into his project.”
This year's festival is the first time Beaumont FFA students have had a “real" Texas Rice Festival experience since the group's inception due to storm cancellations in the past. Congratulations to Garrett Gerace!
National Principal’s Month
The Board recognized the phenomenal BISD principals for National Principal's Month. Principals across BISD and the nation work hard to provide the best education and leadership possible. They have an essential role in making a school great! BISD thanks them for setting high expectations and shaping the conditions for our teachers and students to learn and succeed. BISD is forever grateful for their impact at their campus and the District.
