Honoring Veterans Across the District

Veterans Day

Campuses throughout Beaumont ISD will recognize Veterans Day with programs and events. The dedicated day, which falls on November 11 each year, is a time to pay respect to those who have served in the armed forces.

Many campuses will host programs and activities to showcase and honor veterans.

Curtis started a new tradition with the Veteran Valet to welcome students at arrival.

“Last year we had about six Navy and Army veterans that were on hand to open car doors and welcome students to school,” said parent liaison Cindy Padia. Students are also encouraged to wear red, white and blue that day.

District partner H-E-B is honoring veterans by handing out gift bags with thank you letters from BISD students (at Charlton-Pollard, Curtis, Dishman, Early College HS, Fletcher and Pietzsch-MacArthur) to veteran customers.
