Pietzsch-MacArthur’s Wilton Allen Named District 17 Advisor of the Year
Pietzsch-MacArthur Student Council Advisor Wilton Allen has been named a District 17 2022-23 Advisor of the Year.
“This honor means to me something simple. I am doing the very best I can to give my kids the world. At the young age of 14 years old, I had the hopes and dreams of becoming a Student Council Advisor because of my amazing Advisor, Verlinda Brown at Ozen High School,” said Allen. “To now look at not only my dream coming true in serving my amazing students, but to have also received an honor that I never imagined, is breathtaking. The most rewarding part of this experience is that I get to share the award with the people I love most, my student leaders, who make my heart skip beats each day.”
Allen has served as the Student Council Advisor for four years and plans to continue growing the program.
“There is nothing in this world I would rather do than train and grow the youngest minds and make them the most successful people they could possibly be by giving them the leadership tools to make a difference,” said Allen. “What keeps me going as a Student Council Advisor is the STUDENTS! I do not think people realize how much commitment and dedication these students have to make our campus the absolute best place in the world! This dynamic and talented group of young leaders is my "WHY!" As long as STUDENTS are around, I will be a Student Council Advisor.”
Allen said he believes that his role supports the foundation on which student achievement happens and the building blocks to create well-rounded citizens.
“I am here to teach them all of the things that life may not. I ask for nothing more in this world than to empower them to be strong contributors to society and I will continue to give my whole self to ensure that happens,” said Allen. “I want my kids to know that I am so incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to serve them each day. I wouldn’t be half the person without them. I love them with my whole heart and they are my reason! Before anything else, they are my kids and I will always have their back, front, side and everything in between.”
