Beaumont ISD Launches Annual Summer to Success
Beaumont ISD is thrilled to kick off the Annual Summer to Success programs, providing free summer enrichment opportunities. These programs are designed to combat the 'summer slide' and ensure all students, from pre-K to high school, stay engaged and active during the vacation break. Students can enhance their academic skills, foster curiosity and innovation, stay physically active, and even learn essential swimming skills by participating.
Summer to Success is designed with something for everyone. Some of the offered programs include:
-
Summer School: Focused academic sessions to help students stay on track.
-
Literacy Cool-Downs: Four engaging events featuring group read-alouds, snacks, games, and more.
-
The 40 Book Challenge: A great way to make reading fun by giving students a goal of reading and taking AR tests. To view these resources, visit: http://www.tinyurl.com/readeachday
-
STEM Camp for K-5th Grade: An interactive camp that fosters curiosity and innovation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
-
Summer Athletics-Recreation Programs: Various sports activities to keep students active and healthy.
-
Swim Lessons: Opportunities to learn essential swimming skills.
-
And more!
Jenny Angelo, Beaumont ISD Director of Curriculum and Instruction, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "We are thrilled to offer such a diverse array of summer activities that cater to the needs and interests of our students. Our goal is to provide enriching experiences that keep our students learning, growing, and thriving even when school is out."
