Future Farmers Compete at the Texas State Fair
Beaumont Future Farmers of America (FFA) students competed with steer and rabbits at the YMBL South Texas State Fair with many being named champions in their respective categories.
“We took 17 market animals to the fair with 12 making the auction and all 17 getting sold,” said agriculture teacher Stephanie Hoppe. “Students from West Brook, Beaumont United, Marshall and Odom participated and all placed well, with five of the top placing in the market steer show.”
