Campuses Unite in Festive Spirit to Celebrate National Parent Involvement Day

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, campuses across Beaumont ISD celebrated National Parent Involvement Day on Thursday, November 16, 2023. Parents, educators, and students collaborated in a series of engaging activities in recognition of the numerous contributions to schools made by parents and volunteers.

The day kicked off with a sweet surprise for parents during the morning drop-off at Paul Brown Learning Center and Martin Elementary. Paul Brown’s Parent Liaison, Shaheerah Jackson, greeted parents with popcorn and a drink while staff volunteers from Martin provided parents with powdered sugar donuts. The simple gesture was an expression of appreciation for the crucial role parents play in their children’s education, which starts with helping students arrive at school on time.

As the day unfolded, campuses buzzed with activity, especially in cafeterias that had been transformed into festive spaces where parents were invited to join their children for special holiday-themed lunches.

The National Parent Involvement Day celebrations were not only about the festivities, but also served as a reminder of the vital partnership between educators and parents in nurturing the academic and personal growth of students. Parent Liaisons at all BISD campuses made sure to highlight the joint effort required to create a supportive learning environment.
