Girls Today, Ladies Tomorrow!

Mother’s Day celebrations came three days early for some moms at Caldwood Elementary. Fifth grade girls enjoyed one-on-one time with their mothers during the annual Mother and Daughter Tea. This year’s theme: “Girls Today, Ladies Tomorrow!” The Caldwood Elementary Library was blanketed in rose gold decor, glittery balloons, flowers and tea pots for the May 9, 2024 event.

“The best part about the evening was the intimate time where mothers and daughters held hands, looked into each other’s eyes, and gave each other positive affirmations,” said guest speaker Camille Briggs, a former Beaumont ISD educator.

“With jobs and school work and the stress of life, it is hard to find time to spend quality time one on one with your kids, individually. This was a wonderful opportunity for that,” said Briggs.

The audience heard from three guest speakers encouraging them to overcome obstacles, make bold moves, and to dream big.

The guest left with tools they can use to find the greatness inside of them.
