Beaumont ISD’s “Summer to Success” Programs Inspire and Educate Students
Beaumont ISD’s “Summer to Success” programs and activities are designed to engage, inspire, and educate students throughout the summer months. From innovative STEM camps to essential academic enrichment, BISD is committed to providing valuable opportunities for students to thrive.
One highlight of the summer is the Beaumont ISD STEM Camp. This exciting camp is a hub of exploration, innovation, and inspiration. Students have been conducting cool science experiments and learning new skills, making it a summer filled with fun and educational success. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, ensuring students remain engaged and curious about the world.
The STEM camp also featured a special visit from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, where students learned about the importance of local wetland marshes and swamps. They even got to meet one of the marsh inhabitants—a real alligator! This unique experience highlighted the significance of environmental conservation and local wildlife.
In addition to STEM activities, students enjoyed free snow cones at the weekly Literacy Cool Down session, combining literacy enrichment with a fun and refreshing treat. These sessions are designed to keep students engaged in reading and learning throughout the summer, ensuring they are prepared for the upcoming school year.
BISD’s summer school programs are also in full swing, providing students with enrichment activities that will give them a head start for the 2024-25 school year. These programs focus on academic improvement and personal growth, helping students build the skills they need for future success.
For students needing to prepare for the STAAR EOC retests, BISD offers free online prep courses. These courses are designed to improve skills and increase the likelihood of passing the tests, setting students on the path to graduation. The District encourages all eligible students to take advantage of these resources to enhance their academic performance.
