BISD Graduation Guidelines
The Beaumont Independent School District is proud to invite you to attend the commencement exercises for the class of 2019 at the Lamar University Montagne Center, 4401 S M. L. King, Jr. Parkway, Beaumont. Commencement exercises for West Brook High School will be Thursday, May 23 beginning at 7 p.m. and Beaumont United High School on Friday, May 24 at 7 p.m. Doors will open for both ceremonies at 5 p.m. We hope that you are able to celebrate this milestone in our students’ educational experience.
Our goal is to ensure that our students and their guests are able to experience graduation to the fullest extent. As a result, we respectfully ask that you keep the following in mind if you plan to attend:
- Please refrain from bringing balloons, over sized signs, or pictures of graduates, also known as “fatheads,” into the Montagne Center as this prohibits other guests from seeing their graduates
- Please do not bring any type of horn or noise making device that will prohibit others from clearly hearing as their graduate’s name is called.
In addition, increased security measures will be taken to ensure the safety of our students and guests, including the implementation of hand wands. Please anticipate a short wait and be prepared to comply with directions and requests from district officers.
Guests who are unable to attend will have the advantage of viewing the ceremonies via live streaming by accessing the district’s website at www.bmtisd.com/graduation2019.
We hope that you are able to share in this joyous experience and look forward to seeing you at graduation.
