Campuses Celebrate Hispanic Heritage

National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed September 15-October 15 and celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. 

 

BISD recognizes this month and the wealth of diversity and culture that our students and staff contribute to our district. Events and activities are planned throughout the month at many campuses to celebrate. Additional activities will be added as they are received:

Bingman - Oct 11 - 10 a.m. - Hispanic Parade 

Blanchette - Oct 11 - Hispanic Heritage Program and Parent Luncheon

Fletcher - Oct 11 - Tasting of a Latin Country - 1:30 p.m. 

Lucas - Oct 11 - Hispanic Heritage Parade

Martin - Oct 11 - Hispanic Heritage Program - 2 p.m.

Caldwood - Oct 15 - Hispanic Heritage Program

King - Oct 17 - Hispanic Heritage Program

ECHS - Oct 17 - Hispanic Heritage Parent Night - 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Fletcher - Oct 25 - Hispanic Heritage Program - 1:30 p.m.
