Students kindergarten through eighth-grade were recognized for being top readers during the Winter Read-a-Thon. From December 9 to January 8, students read 31,304 books and passed Accelerated Reader quizzes totalling 31,375 points.
“We saw great improvement in reading results from many of our campuses and we were thrilled to recognize their high-achieving students,” said Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction Jenny Angelo.
Top readers were celebrated by being crowned as king and queen, and received certificates, books and other prizes from campus business partners.
“It was so exciting seeing everyone share the love of reading from students, to staff, administrators and parents,” said Angelo. “Our students deserve major recognition for this achievement.”
